In order to ensure the timely implementation of the directives and instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity\u2014the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, with a view to developing the region\u2019s infrastructure, an official delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan, comprising representatives of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan, the State Agency \u201cRoad Transport and Logistics Services,\u201d the State Agency \u201cManagement of Enterprises Under Construction\u201d of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan, and the Administration of the Free Economic Zone \u201cKulob\u201d undertook a working visit to the Republic of Korea to present a report on the results of the project \u201cFeasibility Study for the Construction of a Logistics Center in the FEZ “Kulob”” and to study the Republic of Korea\u2019s best practices in the field of logistics infrastructure development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During a meeting with representatives of the Korea Export-Import Bank (EXIM Bank) and the international consulting corporation PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) of the Republic of Korea, issues related to accelerating work on the implementation of the project \u201cFeasibility Study for the Construction of a Logistics Center in the FEZ \u201cKulob\u201d\u201d were comprehensively discussed, as well as subsequent stages leading to the full completion of work on the development of the \u201cFeasibility Study for the Construction of a Railway Line to the \u201cKulob\u201d\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was noted that the establishment of a logistics center and the construction of a railway connecting the Free Economic Zone \u201cKulob\u201d are closely interlinked, and the logistics strategy for the establishment and operation of the logistics center, as well as the overall development of the infrastructure of the Free Economic Zone \u201cKulob\u201d is being considered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of the working visit, arrangements were also made for a meeting between a delegation of official representatives from the Republic of Tajikistan and the heads and representatives of several international logistics companies in the Republic of Korea, including \u201cLOTTE Global Logistic Co., Ltd,\u201d \u201cDONGBANG Transport Logistics Co., Ltd,\u201d \u201cKorea Ocean Business Corporation,\u201d Coupang Goyang Logistics Center, Pyengtaek Logistic Center, KORAIL Logistics, GUNPO IFT, Korea Integrated Freight Terminal,\u201d as well as railway stations and freight terminals. They held productive meetings, familiarized themselves with the companies\u2019 operations and activities, and were invited to contribute to the construction of a logistics center and the laying of a railway line to the Free Economic Zone \u201cKulob\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
